NOURISH: The Final Pillar
NOURISH is the third and final pillar of Heather Martin Nutrition, and it may be the most important one. It represents the intersection of all the parts of my journey—athlete, recovering from an eating disorder, and now, nutritionist. While the concept of nourishment may seem straightforward, the reasoning behind it is much deeper than it appears.
MOVE: The Second Pillar
Movement is the second pillar of Heather Martin Nutrition, and it’s been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. As many of you know, I was a competitive figure skater for over 15 years. Being an athlete meant that movement was a daily part of my routine—whether I liked it or not. And believe me, there were many days when I didn’t enjoy it.
HEAL: The First Pillar
HEAL is the first main pillar of Heather Martin Nutrition, and it holds a special place in my personal journey. As some of you may know, my decision to become a nutritionist stemmed from my own experience with an eating disorder and the path I took to overcome it. While I consider myself to be "recovered," that experience fundamentally changed the way I view many things—myself, food, and what it truly means to heal.
