About us
Hey there! I'm Heather, an athletic nutritionist with a new perspective
As a dedicated athletic nutritionist and former competitive athlete who faced her own struggles with an eating disorder, I possess a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding disordered eating in competitive sports. My primary focus is on empowering athletes to prioritize their well-being alongside their performance and am passionate about fostering a culture where individuals define their own version of health. I am committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of athletes by providing tailored guidance and support to help athletes navigate their relationship with food and exercise.
My Story
Life's twists and turns often surprise us, and my journey over the past 4 years was no exception. What began as a quest for health during the pandemic led me down a path of obsession with food and exercise, culminating in a battle with Orthorexia. But amidst the struggle, I found my way back with the help of a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.). Her compassion and guidance reshaped my relationship with food and inspired me to pursue a similar path.
Sharing my story on social media opened my eyes to the prevalence of similar struggles and sparked a desire to help others on a larger scale. That's when I decided to become an R.H.N. through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) with the greater goal of helping athletes create a positive relationship with food and their bodies. I was a competitive figure skater for 15 years and am driven by the rewarding nature of empowering athletes, like I was, to prioritize their well-being alongside their performance.
My goal is to create a culture where individuals define their own version of health, free from the pressures of competition and societal norms. Life's surprises may be unexpected, but it's how we navigate them that defines us. I'm committed to using my journey to guide others toward healing and self-discovery. If I can be to athletes what my nutritionist was to me, then I'll consider my journey a success.
